There were also Brick Pyramids that generated at the exact same positions regardless of the world seed. The Indev phase ran from Decemto February 23, 2010, when it was phased out in favor of Infdev, after infinite maps were to be added into the game. In the first version of Infdev, there was an obsidian wall that generated at 0 on the X and axis, and were used to mark the center of a world. Indev (short for In Development) was the second development phase of Minecrafts Survival mode, which succeeded Survival Test in Classic Mode.Infdev is silent since the Infdev resources have been removed from /resources (unless the user uses a proxy for the resources), but this does not happen to Indev. In early versions of Infdev, the Player would start with 990 Wood Planks and 999 Glass blocks. In the terrain.png file, remnants of the Cog could be seen. The Brick Pyramid in the first release of Infdev Infdev, along with Indev, were available on the Minecraft website until September 2010, and to play Infdev now, one must use a "3rd party program" to backdate their Minecraft jar. Infdev no longer gets updated, and its link has been removed from the Minecraft website. Infdev was replaced by the name of Alpha as a sign of progression towards release. Infdev's main purpose was to catch an infinite terrain version up to par with Indev's content, that purpose was filled around June 2010. (Later removed when Beta 1.8 was released on 9/14/11)
